AbuSimbel.com is a static, ad-free travel guide. We collect as little as possible about you.
What we collect
We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not run a newsletter, a comment system or contact forms. We do not sell or share personal data with anyone.
Your browser stores one item locally if you use the language switcher: your chosen language, so the site opens in it next time. It never leaves your device and you can clear it at any time via your browser settings.
Third-party services
- GetYourGuide. Tour listings and the booking widgets on this site are provided by GetYourGuide. Their scripts may set cookies and record that a visit came from us so any booking is attributed to our partner account. See the GetYourGuide privacy policy for details.
- Trip.com. Accommodation links point to Trip.com. Once you follow one, Trip.com's own privacy policy and cookie practices apply.
- Google Fonts. Typefaces are loaded from Google's font service, which receives your IP address as part of that request.
- Our host. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, user agent, requested page) for security and reliability.
Cookies
We set no cookies of our own. Cookies you may receive on this site come from the third parties above, primarily GetYourGuide's booking and attribution scripts. You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time; the site will continue to work.
Your rights
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, you have the right to access, correct or erase personal data held about you, and to object to its processing. Because we hold almost none, most requests are best directed at the third-party services listed above. You are welcome to contact us and we will help where we can.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
